About Directory FAQ
Since 2001, we, the FirstAttribute AG team, have been working extensively with Active Directory and Microsoft technologies. Over this time, we have solved many questions for our clients – using books, online resources, and especially through our own experience.
In 2011, we launched “Active Directory FAQ” as a blog to store our knowledge and share it with customers and partners. We also wanted to give something back – to the many dedicated administrators, IT specialists, and the community that has often supported us.
In recent years, our topics have evolved. Our focus is now increasingly on cloud topics, particularly Entra ID and M365. For this reason, we renamed the blog in 2025 to “Directory FAQ”. This name change reflects that we not only discuss AD topics anymore but also the cloud world and everything related to it.
A collaborative partnership, at eye level, is a core value for us. This is also the fundamental idea behind Directory FAQ. We welcome comments, corrections, and feedback—and, of course, contributions from others who would like to support our team.
